- Smaller estates may skip full probate. Oregon has a simplified "small estate" affidavit process — the circuit court or an attorney can tell you if the estate qualifies.

- The court itself: Jackson County Circuit Court's probate department can tell you filing requirements and where a case stands (they can't give legal advice).
